Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith have recently made news regarding a relationship she had during a split in their marriage. Due to misleading headlines, the two decided to address what happened on an episode of Red Table Talk on Facebook Watch.

50 Cent decided to chime in on Twitter with a meme poking fun at the discussion. The meme featured a picture of a frustrated Smith with the words, "Jada: entanglement, Will: relationship," written underneath.

Smith And Pinkett-Smith Open Up About Her Relationship

During an interview with Angela Lee, singer August Alsina revealed that he had been in a relationship with Pinkett-Smith. Specifically, he said that Smith had sat down with him and given his permission for Alsina to be in a relationship with Pinkett-Smith.

Earlier this year, Pinkett-Smith started a talk show with her mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris, and her daughter, Willow Smith. Airing on Facebook Watch, the show focuses on candid conversations about topical events.

On the show, Pinkett-Smith sat down with Will Smith to discuss her former relationship with Alsina. They immediately denied the notion of Smith giving Alsina permission.

"The only person that can give permission in that particular circumstance is myself," Pinkett-Smith said. "I could actually see how [Alsina] would perceive it because we were separated amicably and I think he also wanted to make it clear that he's also not a homewrecker. Which he's not."

50 Cent's Tweet

Pinkett-Smith referred to her relationship as an entanglement; Smith then quickly said that it was a relationship. The meme 50 Cent posted was referring to this moment in the video.

50 Cent followed that tweet with a second, which featured a famous clip from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. In the clip, Smith's character angrily and tearfully rants about his father abandoning him to his Uncle Phil, played by the late James Avery. The version 50 Cent tweeted was dubbed over to make it about Smith's marriage.

Smith said in the Red Table Talk interview that he was unsure if he would ever speak to Pinkett-Smith again after their split. But then, he amended that sentiment, saying, "I told you the first year we were married, that I could love you through anything."
