Fixer Upper Season 5
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez might seem like an untouchable Hollywood couple but, just like the rest of us, they can't resist watching home renovation shows on TV.
In particular, Lopez is apparently obsessed with Fixer Upper's Joanna Gaines.
Rodriguez revealed that the couples had arranged a sweet meetup, sharing on Instagram, "ARod Corp hits Capital Gaines in Waco, Texas. #CapitalGaines @joannagaines @chipgaines." Understandably, Lopez was absolutely beaming during the hangout, as were her abs.
Chip also shared a photo of the sweet double date on Instagram and hilariously wrote, "What is going on!?? This is like a Twilight zone of hot people. Then there's me, looking as usual.. disheveled. Thanks for coming to town @jlo and @arod!"
Back in February 2019, Lopez revealed that she is a major fan of HGTV's Fixer Upper during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Lopez explained, "We got a little fixer upper next to the water, and we were like, ‘Oh, we gotta fix this up, it’s really a house that needs work.'" She continued, "I was like, 'Wouldn’t it be amazing to have [Gaines] do it for us?' But she doesn’t do anything outside of Waco [Texas], like nothing."
However, Rodriguez decided to surprise Lopez with a FaceTime call from her idol. As she told DeGeneres, "He opens up FaceTime and it’s Joanna Gaines. And I was like, 'Are you kidding?! Hi!' I totally fangirled out." She continued, "And she was like, 'Hi!' just like she is on the show."
And now, Lopez has met Gaines in real life. See, dreams really do come true.
